Gremlins creator and screenwriter Christopher Columbus is working on the script for the third film.
It’s been 35 years since the premiere of Gremlins 2: The New Wash, but now there may finally be a sequel. The deadline the deeply creative story tells Warner Bros. -studio’s future plans and also mentions the third Gremlins movie.
The article lists the new Gremlins movie, which is written by Christopher Columbus, who also helmed the previous two movies directed by Joe Dante.
The first film was based on the original idea of Columbus, which got producer Steven Spielberg excited about the idea.
The new Gremlins movie written by Columbus was first reported back in 2017, when he described it as a twisted dark sequel.
The first Gremlins movie can be watched for a monthly fee on the Max service. The second part is only available as a rental and purchase version.
