With this, the central-regional-regional cardiovascular disease response system, including one central cardiovascular disease center, 14 regional cardiovascular disease centers, and 10 regional cardiovascular disease centers, will take its first step.

The Central Cardiovascular Disease Center is located at Seoul National University Hospital and performs roles such as ▲cardiocerebrovascular disease policy development and technical support ▲human resource training ▲statistics and research and development ▲preventive management education and promotion. The Regional Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease Center is a metropolitan base institution at the city/provincial level and provides 24-hour specialized treatment for severe and emergency cardiovascular diseases and carries out early rehabilitation and preventive management projects.

The newly designated Regional Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease Center ▲ provides 24-hour acute final treatment for patients with cardiovascular disease in the region, ▲ is responsible for preventive management education and regional promotion for discharged patients, etc., and ▲ establishes a cooperative system with regional cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease centers. It will play a key role in bridging regional gaps in cardiovascular disease, where timely treatment is key through rapid transportation when necessary.
