In Zagreb, the search continues for the child whose mother carried her into the Sava river in her arms yesterday afternoon near the Jankomir Bridge. The mother was later successfully rescued from the river and given medical assistance, but the child was not found until the evening hours, when the search operation in the river was temporarily suspended due to weather conditions.
Several teams of firefighters and rescuers were dispatched to various areas along the river as soon as they received reports of the incident around 4:00 p.m., diving teams with boats and drones with thermal imaging sensors were also activated, but all efforts and efforts to find the child were unsuccessful after according to the unofficial statements of the Croatian media, it is a three-year-old girl, in vain.
Due to the darkness, cold and snow, the intensive search of the Sava riverbed itself between the Jadranski and Jankomir bridges was interrupted in the evening, while the Croatian coast guard continued the search of the area with search dogs.
