The new patch contains 159 bug fixes, including fixes for critical security issues.
As you might have guessed, the first Windows patch of 2025 arrived on the second Tuesday of the month. The update for Windows 10 and 11 contains a total of 159 small and large fixes, which is much more than what we are used to with an average patch. THE Bleeping Computer reports that Microsoft has addressed no fewer than 8 zero-day vulnerabilities and 12 critical bugs.
Three of the former group have already been exploited by malicious actors. Thanks to the security holes, attackers had the opportunity to extend privileges and run remote code on the targeted machines.
While we hope that none of our readers have suffered from this, it is worth saying that it is recommended to download patches that correct such problems as soon as possible. We don’t have to do anything for this, just visit the Windows Updates menu, and the system will take care of the rest.
Anyone interested in the security of their system should switch to Windows 11 as soon as possible. The previous operating system’s days are numbered and it won’t get any more patches after October.
