David Lynch, known for the Twin Peaks series and the films Eraserhead, Mulholland Drive, Blue Velvet and Lost Highway, has died.
David Lynch’s death has been confirmed by the director on the Facebook page with the following update:
”It is with deep regret that we, his family, announce the passing of the man and the artist, David Lynch. We would appreciate some privacy at this time. There’s a big hole in the world now that he’s no longer with us. But, as he would say, ’Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ It’s a beautiful day with golden sunshine and blue skies all the way.”
David Lynch was 78 years old when he died.
Known as a director, screenwriter, visual artist, actor and musician, Lynch said last year that he was suffering from emphysema. In November, it was revealed that the instructor can no longer do anything more strenuous than walking without supplemental oxygen.
Lynch’s last film was 2006’s Inland Empire, but the director continued his creative work on other projects until his last years.
