Admiral Rob Bauer explained what deeply worries NATO

The NATO official said at the press conference concluding the Military Committee’s deliberations that the alliance had sent a concrete signal to Beijing that

it is not possible for him to maintain good relations with the West while fomenting war in Europe.

As he said, the increasingly close cooperation between Russia, China, North Korea and Iran seeks to undermine democratic norms and values. This requires a unified, decisive response. That is why we devote more time and energy to military cooperation and the exchange of knowledge and expertise with our partners. During our consultation, we specifically examined how we can act together against instability worldwide, and how we can strengthen each other, he stated.

He stressed that this particularly applies to relations with Ukraine, and the military commission confirmed that NATO is doing everything it can to help the leadership in Kyiv, because it is in its political and military interest.

Rob Bauer also said that NATO’s goals to be achieved by 2030 and a fairer distribution of capabilities were discussed at the meeting.

General Christopher Cavoli, the commander-in-chief of the organization’s European forces, said in a statement that NATO’s Federal Operations Command (ACO) has undergone a significant transformation, in order to modernize collective defense, structural elements, processes and procedures have also been modernized.

He added that nearly 100 exercises are planned for 2025, including key events that will improve readiness and readiness. As an example, the Baltic Watchman mission was highlighted, which is launched as a response to the cable vandalism in the Baltic Sea.

In addition, NATO has begun coordinating security support and training for Ukraine with a new center in Germany, helping to align Ukraine with NATO standards.

Admiral Pierre Vandier, Commander-in-Chief responsible for NATO’s transformation and modernization processes, highlighted: the alliance is in a war race, which means faster transformation and adaptation is needed to prevent the enemy. In his view, NATO’s main priority is to quickly adapt to new warfare challenges and technologies while supporting Ukraine against Russian aggression.

The transformation, he said, will be achieved through NATO’s defense planning process and innovations, which include the use of robotics, artificial intelligence, quantum technology and new sensors. He emphasized: it is an important goal to make future skill requirements visible to the industry, promoting rapid development.
