Construction and Design
Right from the start, Magic7 Pro conveys a sensation of solidity and robustnessthanks to the excellent assembly and aluminum edges; there back cover opaque, it provides a very pleasant sensation to the touch and, thanks to the oleophobic treatment, it is very difficult to retain fingerprints. The large one stands out on the back photographic module circular: this is a very distinctive design element which, in addition to being particularly resistant to scratches, also has the advantage of not protruding excessively, keeping the phone stable when used by placing it on a flat surface.
The dimensions 162.7 x 77.1 x 8.8 mm and the weight of 223 g ensure a good ergonomics and make one-handed use convenient.
A feature on which the manufacturer has insisted a lot is the resistence: HONOR Magic7 Pro is certified IP68 and IP69ensuring resistance to dust, water and hot water jets, while the display is protected by proprietary technology Honor NanoCrystal Shield certified by SGS.
For this reason, during a trip organized by Honor in Slovenia, I took the opportunity to use it without particular care and to subject it to the most disparate mistreatments, including falls to the ground, immersions in freezing water and even throwing it onto icy surfaces. Despite this, no part of the body of my Magic7 suffered obvious damage, only very small scratches and none of the components, including the speakers and the USB port, suffered any damage after the immersion, continuing to work perfectly.
Display
The display, enclosed in very thin frames for a screen to body ratio of almost 90%, is a panel OLED LTPO yes 6.8 inches with a resolution of 1280 x 2800 pixels, HDR10+ support and Dolby Vision with a refresh rate that varies dynamically from 1 a 120 Hz, optimizing energy efficiency without sacrificing fluidity.

Photographic Department
The photographic system of HONOR Magic7 Pro is composed of three rear sensors: a camera principal Super Dynamic Falcon da 50 MP with variable aperture (f/1.4-f/2.0) and OIS; a 200MP telephoto lens (f/2.6) with 3x optical zoom (up to 100x digitally) and a 50 MP ultra-wide angle (f/2.0) with a 122° field of view. Even in low-light environments, the 1/1.3-inch sensor significantly reduces noise, rendering very faithful colors without being disturbed by artificial lights. A very slight noise is noticeable in extreme darkness, but the shots are still really beautiful.

The optical zoom guarantees images clear e ben definite, while it digital zoom up to 100x provides truly evocative shots (like the photo of the moon you see below) thanks to a AI algorithm owner who manages to identify the different subjects and improve the images by intervening on parameters such as texture, light and colors. Compared to the main lens, the most evident difference occurs in photos in low light conditions, which are a little less detailed and with some small artefacts in correspondence with artificial lights.
The mode macro integrated is an added value that allows you to capture even the smallest details at close range.
The front camera, finally, it offers detailed and well-lit selfies with very good light management even in environments with irregular lighting. 3D facial recognition works quickly and accurately.
Overall we are faced with a photographic sector very versatile and of the highest level.
Autonomy
The silicon-carbon battery from 5270 mAh is another of the strong points of the Magic7 Pro. With heavy use, which includes video streaming, web browsing and gaming sessions, the device delivers over 7 hours of active screenwhile with moderate use you can comfortably reach two days of battery life. Even using it to play for several hours on the plane and without ever connecting it to Wi-Fi, it never left me stranded.
100W fast charging allows you to go from 0 to 100% in approximately 35 minutes, while 80W wireless charging completes a charge in approximately 45 minutes. The energy management of the HONOR E2 chip further optimizes consumption, extending battery life even in intensive use scenarios.
Software and Performance
HONOR Magic7 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. The MagicOS 9.0 operating system, based on Android 15, offers a clean and customizable interface, with numerous integrated AI features and without too many proprietary applications pre-installed.
During daily use, the phone is extremely fluent, with fast response times and flawless multitasking, even with many apps open in the background. Graphically intensive games run smoothly at the highest settings and even the thermal management it is excellent, with temperatures that remain under control even during prolonged sessions.
Among them smart functionality, in addition to the pre-installed Gemini, we find several proprietary solutions such as Magic Portala feature that lets you circle an object on the screen using your knuckles to quickly access related information or services, such as purchasing a product or getting directions. I found this function, which is reminiscent of Google’s Circle and Search, very convenient and quick in carrying out tasks.
During the trip I also had the opportunity to try it AI translation and real-time transcription of Honor Notes. The prima, tested with English and with German and French native speakers, it supports real-time translations in 13 languages and makes it really easy to communicate with an interlocutor who speaks a different language: immediately after starting, the app immediately recognizes the words we pronounce , translates them into the desired language and pronounces them aloud, without showing particular uncertainties even if our interlocutor is speaking very quickly or with less than perfect pronunciation. There real-time transcription it’s a lot it needs and is able to recognize and label the sentences spoken by different people, also offering summaries of the contents, thus representing a valid support during conferences or meetings.
AI Eraser and AI Cutout are also usefulphoto editing tools that allow you to remove unwanted objects or extract subjects from images with a single click, which in most cases perform their duty well despite having noticed some uncertainty in the case of very complex scenarios.
Finally, an additional security, especially taking into account the proliferation of scams through artificial intelligence systems, is represented by Deepfake detection, a feature which, by analyzing various parameters during a video call, is able to verify whether we are actually talking to a real person.
Conclusions
Magic7 Pro it is definitely one of the best smartphones complete and innovative of this early 2025. Honor wanted to make a product without compromises and the results of his efforts are all visible: l’hardware Of first band and the AI functionality present make daily use practical and pleasant, the photographic sector it is excellent and the excellent build quality.
