Nyheter24 has spoken to Christopher HenrikssonRecycling Strategist at Karlstads Energi AB, who tells you that you should not throw eggshells in the food waste.
– However, eggshells must be put in the residual waste, as eggshells cannot in principle be converted into either biofertilizer or biogas. In addition, eggshells have proven to cause problems in the pumps at the digestion plant, he says.
He adds that there is an app called “Throw right” where you can find out what applies where you live.
