A foreign couple was left homeless this Friday after a fire in their house in Luzianes-Gare, in the municipality of Odemira, district of Beja, a GNR source revealed to the Lusa agency.
The same source indicated that the man, aged 47, and the woman, aged 30, were temporarily relocated to a friend’s house.
According to a source from the Alentejo Litoral Sub-Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command, the alert for the fire was given at 6:46 pm.
“The fire left the house unlivable, a couple was left homeless and there are no injuries,” he said.
Eight firefighters from Odemira and GNR were mobilized to the scene, supported by four vehicles.
