The US has expanded the list of those sanctioned in the Republika Srpska, it was announced today from the US State Department, with an indication that the sanctions were, among other things, introduced for the organizers of the Republika Srpska Day celebration.

On the list of those sanctioned are the President of the Constitutional Court of the RS, Gerard Selman, the Minister of Internal Affairs and the former chief of staff of the President of the RS, Milorad Dodik Siniša Karan, the President of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of the RS, Rajko Kuzmanović, as well as the General Director of RTRS, Dijana Milanković.

It was stated that the sanctions were introduced because “those individuals threaten the territorial integrity, peace and stability of BiH by violating the Dayton Agreement and its institutions, including the Constitutional Court of BiH and the authority of the High Representative”.

In addition, sanctions were also imposed on five individuals and one legal entity who are said to be part of “Dodik’s financial network family”, which he is further said to have used to “increase his personal wealth through companies associated with him”. or members of his family, and to the detriment of the people of BiH”.
