In the largest EU market, this is the first and most important criterion for buyers when buying a car

The new edition of a major international survey by Deloitte shows that the price alone is the number one criterion for new car buyers today, the German news agency (dpa) reports, writes Fenix magazine.

Namely, 62 percent of respondents in Germany said that they would choose the cheapest car. The next most important criterion, for 53 percent of respondents, is the quality of the car’s construction.

The consulting firm Deloitte conducted research in several countries. Apart from the Germans, only the Japanese prioritize price over quality.

In Great Britain, these two conditions are in balance, while in China, India, Korea and the USA, buyers choose a car primarily on the basis of quality. This is especially true for the Chinese and Indians, where quality in relation to price leads with 25 and 19 percentage points respectively, he says. Jutarnji.hr.

The survey confirms poor expectations regarding electromobility: only one in seven respondents plans to buy an exclusively electric car. This is, in international comparison, more than in any other country except China, where it is 27 percent. But the share of those who intend to buy an electric car has been stagnating for a long time.

On the other hand, the share of 53 percent who plan to buy a gasoline car compared to 49 percent 12 months ago and only 45 percent in 2023.
