Apple Intelligence Delayed to iOS 18.1

According to a recent report by Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, Apple has decided to postpone the launch of Apple Intelligence in October, with the iOS 18.1 update.

This delay is due to the need to fix some bugs and ensure greater stability. Apple has chosen to take the time necessary to refine the product and ensure a smooth user experience.

Apple Intelligence is set to bring significant improvements to the Apple ecosystem, combining advanced AI capabilities with deep integration into the operating system. However, the need for additional testing means that these features will only arrive in iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia, several weeks after the initial release of iOS 18.

While Apple Intelligence won’t be available at the launch of iOS 18, gDevelopers will have access to the first beta versions of iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 as early as next week. This is unusual, as Apple does not typically release previews of subsequent updates before the major release.

The new release approach means that iPhone 16 lineup could debut without Apple Intelligence featureswhich will then be added via a later software update. Apple aims to complete development of iOS 18.0 by the end of July, but some advanced features, such as a revamped Siri that uses on-device data, won’t be available until the first half of 2025.

We remind you that Apple Intelligence will not be available in Italy at launch, as it will initially be limited to the United States and a few other countries.
