Asus Zenbook S 16 uses unique Ceraluminum and new AMD Ryzen AI chips

The Asus Zenbook series has been one of the very best in the field of portable Windows devices for years. And the new Zenbook S 16 model only confirms this with a number of innovations and improvements that the user will appreciate every day. Asus chose this year’s news a special alloy called Ceraluminum. It is a hybrid ceramic material that can be found on the outer lid. It contributes to a longer service life and prevents scratches. Thanks to the natural colors, the device also stands out at first glance.

Another chassis improvement concerns the CNC machining above the keyboard. This part creates not only the original design of the creation with geometric shapes, but also contributes to the rigidity of the frame and the cooling of the internal components.

Inside the notebook we find a 3D cooling system with an evaporation chamber. Thanks to this, the equipped processor can offer a TDP of up to 28 W even with a notebook thickness of 1.1 cm. Zenbook S 16 also received a 40% larger trackpad with a ratio of 16:10 and support for smart gestures.

There is a rich array of connectors on the sides of the device, especially considering the fact that it is a very thin laptop. Specifically, we can find USB-A 3.2 Gen 2, two USB-C 4.0, HDMI 2.1, an SD card reader (USH-II) and a 3.5mm combo jack. Therefore, you will not need a reduction.

The main beauty is hidden not only on the surface of the Zenbook S 16, but also inside. The machine is powered by a new series of chips from AMD. Specifically AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 and Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. The processor is complemented by an AMD Radeon 890M graphics chip. Together with 32 GB LPDDR5x RAM at 7500 MHz and 2 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, you can be sure that the Zenbook S 16 will not hold you back.

This is just the beginning of the latest technology show. The new Ryzen AI processors come with support for Windows Copilot and a number of other AI functions. In the laptop, for example, you will find a camera with ASUS AiSense support, which understands Windows Hello and quick login using your face.

It is also a big draw of the Zenbook S 16 top OLED display. With a diagonal of 16 inches and a resolution of 2880 × 1800 pixels (aspect ratio 16:10), it is great for work and content consumption. In addition, it will offer a response time of 0.2 ms and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. So if you decide to fill a break while working or studying with a less demanding game, you will enjoy a beautifully fluid image. For a change, the sound has been tuned by Harman Kardon and we can find six speakers in the laptop. Two of them are high-frequency tweeters, and four are low-frequency woofers with Dolby Atmos support.

For professional content creation, the screen offers 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space, VESA Display HDR True Black 500 certification and validation by PANTONE. Asus has also tuned harmful blue light, which is emitted 70% less. There is also a touch layer and support for a stylus. Nothing stands in the way of creative work.

On the go, the laptop will hold a battery with a capacity of 78 Wh, which is a very decent value for the size ratio. The notebook weighs only 1.5 kg and is 1.1 cm thin. Considering the installed components and the price starting at value 58,990 CZK these are great parameters.
