An urban explorer has discovered a rare British Triumph sports car abandoned in a state of disrepair on an old farm in the UK.
Daniel Sims is a British urban explorer known for his YouTube channel Bearded Reality. He recently made a surprising discovery in an abandoned farm from the United Kingdom. A sports car from the brand Triumph dating from the year 1962 was left abandoned for many years.
The discovery of a Triumph in a deplorable state
This very rare car has been abandoned for decades due to its advanced state of disrepair. The farm that housed this vehicle was apparently uninhabited for over 40 years. The walls are decaying and many objects were piled up inside. It is in one of the hangars that the English-speaking explorer made the most surprising discovery.
Amidst all the debris, Daniel discovered a car Triumph red two-seater. It dates from 1962. The car is almost completely covered with dirt of all kinds, but its chassis is still recognizable. The interior was a little better preserved but it still shows signs of mold et wear and tear. The current condition of the vehicle has prevented it from being restarted on the engine. In reality, it is unlikely that it will be able to operate again without a careful restoration.
Besides, this farm was full of other objects almost as fascinating. Daniel Sims also got his hands on an old tractor combustion engine, probably made in the late 1800s. He also found an old Land Rover in poor condition, abandoned with other vehicles and many spare parts.
A farm filled with treasures abandoned for decades
Inside the house, Daniel spotted some papers which indicated that the owner had not set foot on the property for at least 40 years. This explains the worrying state of the objects that remained on site. No one really knows why the property was abandoned in this way, but it is clear that the owner left a part of british automotive history behind him.
Coming back to the Triumph discovered by Daniel, it was left in a state of extreme neglect. Nevertheless, it bears witness to an era when British cars like this were symbols of prestige and of performance. Although the Triumph Motor Company brand closed its doors in 1984some models have become collector’s gems. Unfortunately, this example discovered by the YouTuber is now just a carcass covered with mold.
Many historic vehicles end up abandoned, forgotten and completely unusable. This is sadly the case of this red 1962 Triumph discovered in this abandoned farm.
