A 2.2 kilowatt, platinum power beast came under the banner of Seasonic

The ATX 3.1 monster is intended for driving artificial intelligence development environments.

At this year’s Computex, Seasonic presented the 2200-watt goliath of the Prime power supply line, the Prime PX-2200-atwhich has recently been put on store shelves and is capable of achieving 80 Plus Platinum efficiency.

The double-transformer, overlapped PFC design solution naturally complies with the ATX 3.1 standard, and its interior, equipped with Japanese electrolytic capacitors, is equipped with OPP, OVP, UVP, OCP, OTP, and SCP protections. The cooling of the components is provided by a 135 mm liquid-bearing fan, which supports semi-passive operation, and thanks to the “Hybrid Mode” button located on the back of the casing, it does not even move its blades up to 30 percent load. As we have become accustomed to in the manufacturer’s portfolio, the electronics are connected to the back panel by a copper plate.

With dimensions of 210 x 150 x 86 mm, the voltage regulation remains within a 1 percent interval, and its single 12-volt branch promises to deliver 183.3 amps. The wires of the modular cabling were stocked one by one, and in the field of connectors there is one 20+4-pin ATX, three 4+4-pin EPS, four 6+2-pin PCI Express, four 12V-2×6 (two native, two 2×6+2-pin/12+4 pin), we can count sixteen SATA, two SATA 3.3V, and three molex plugs.
