A car hit the terrace of a restaurant in the 20th arrondissement of Paris, not far from the Père-Lachaise cemetery, on Wednesday, around 19:30, France Télévisions learned from a police source.

The driver ran away, while the passenger in the car was arrested, the cited source announced.

At least three people are in a state of “absolute emergency”. It is not yet known whether it was an accident or an intentional gesture. In Paris, security is at a high level because soon the 2024 edition of the Olympic Games will begin in the city.
