A car with a German license plate collided head-on, and a Hungarian man died on the spot

A Hungarian citizen driving a car with a German license plate was the fatal victim of the Saturday evening accident that happened near Rezi – the spokesperson of the Zala County Police Headquarters clarified the previous day’s information to MTI on Sunday. Veronika Sznopek said: the Hungarian man in a car with a German license plate was heading towards Zalaszántó on road 7327. For an as yet unclear reason, he moved his vehicle to the left side of the road, where he collided head-on with another passenger car.

The 46-year-old Hungarian man driving the German car suffered such serious injuries that he died on the spot. The 20-year-old man driving the other car was slightly injured. The Zala County Disaster Management Directorate provided information on its website that the driver of one of the vehicles was trapped in his wrecked car as a result of the collision, and the professional firefighters from Keszthely lifted him out of the vehicle with tension cutters.
