On Wednesday (October 23), the case was filed at the Bhurungamari police station by Abdul Quddus, the father of Riyad, a student who was injured in the attack on the government overthrow march on August 4. He is a resident of North Tilai village and an active member of Jamaat-e-Islami.

According to the statement of the case, when the defendants came to the anti-discrimination student movement on August 4, they attacked two students including the plaintiff’s son Riyad, injured some students and stole five mobile phones and vandalized the microphone used in the march. In this regard, when several attempts were made to contact Abdul Quddus, the plaintiff in the case, he did not receive the mobile phone.

However, Jamaat-e-Islami’s upazila Amir Anwar Hossain said that he filed a case as a guardian due to the injury of his son. Party roles will be determined in the light of the decision of the higher authorities. SI Ashraful Islam, who is in charge of the OC, confirmed the filing of the case and said that on Thursday, four Awami League leaders and activists were arrested and sent to jail through the court.
