A cayuco arrives in El Hierro with 69 migrants from Bangladesh, Pakistan and Yemen

A fourth cayuco has arrived this weekend to the island of El Hierro, this time, with 69 people and among them there are travelers from Bangladesh, Pakistan and Yemen, as reported to EFE by the humanitarian services.

Likewise, among the occupants of the canoe there are six women and four children, the same sources have specified, indicating that, in addition to Bangladesh and Pakistan, there are people who come from Burkina Faso, Mali, Mauritania, Ghana, Guinea, Senegal and Gambia. .

The boat, which left Nouadhibou, in Mauritania, had been sailing for four days until it was sighted this Sunday around 12:22 p.m., when the Civil Guard reported an echo, which corresponded to a cayuco about 11 kilometers from La Restinga.

The Maritime Rescue center in Tenerife mobilized the Adhara sea rescue, which located the canoe and escorted it to port.

The Mike 02 boat from the Cruz Roja Tenerife also participated in the disembarkation.
