A 43-year-old motorist was arrested by the police following a speeding incident which revealed a very high blood alcohol level.

Ce Sunday November 3, 2024the gendarmes arrested a motorist who was driving abnormally fast on Boulevard de l’Europe in Parthenay, according to information from The New Republic. Aged 43, the driver was flashed at 97 km/h in an area limited to 50 km/h. It was a serious speeding incident which did not fail to attract the attention of the police. During the inspection, they found something else compromising.
The gendarmes also noted that the driver appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. They therefore carried out a screening to get to the bottom of it and the results are alarming. They revealed a rate of 1,7 mg of alcohol per liter of exhaled air. This represents 3,5 g of alcohol per liter of blood. This is a level seven times higher than the legal threshold of 0.5 g per liter of blood.
