A fatal failure awaits the smallest expedition in Paris. According to the prestigious magazine, Slovakia will win the only medal – Paris 2024 Olympics – Summer Olympics

Slovakia is sending the smallest expedition in history to the Olympic Games in Paris. Only 28 Slovak athletes will compete for medals under the five rings.

In the forecasts of the success of individual countries, with which the sack was torn a few days before the official start of the games, Slovakia appears on the bottom rungs.

Probably no one expects medals from the Slovak representatives in Paris, but the prestigious American magazine Sports Illustrated predicts a critical scenario: Slovakia will win only one medal.

The expedition should be saved by shooter Danka Barteková, who, according to the magazine, will win silver in skeet. However, that will be all from the Slovak side, the Americans predict in the article.

It is said that Zuzana Rehák-Štefečeková, who has long been among the favorites in her discipline (trap), will not reach the precious metal.

Boaters will also come out empty-handed. It was the water slalom that used to be Slovakia’s strongest weapon at the Summer Olympics, Slovak representatives have so far collected eight gold, four silver and three bronze medals.

For comparison, Slovaks brought home four medals from the last summer Olympics in Tokyo – two silver and one gold and one bronze piece each.

Slovakia was most successful in Beijing 2008, where Slovaks won three gold and three silver medals. During the era of independence, Slovakia participated in seven Summer Olympic Games and won 32 medals.

Unsurprisingly, the Americans are at the top of the predicted list of success, Sports Illustrated predicts they will win 123 precious metals.
