A six-year-old boy of migrant parents allegedly punched the teacher in the face for no good reason and injured her so badly that she was unable to return to class and teach the next day.

Last week, a brutal incident occurred at one of the elementary schools in Carinthia, Austria: a first-grader allegedly attacked a teacher and a classmate with his fists. According to the Kronen Zeitung, a six-year-old boy of migrant parents punched his teacher in the face for no good reason, injuring her so badly that she was unable to return to class and teach the next day. Then he attacked another classmate with his fists. After the police arrived at the school, the boy was taken by his mother.

The child has a difficult family background

According to a representative of employees in educational institutions in the Austrian Carinthia Isabelle Penz the boy has a “difficult family background”. Despite everything, he is suspended until the end of the autumn holidays. “Then we’ll see what happens next,” for Krone, Penz says, adding that there are clear rules and legal procedures in cases of such incidents.
