According to the ideas, the league would consist of six men’s and six women’s teams, the matches would be played in eight cities around the world, for two weeks in each city.
The global rotation has been designed based on a schedule similar to the Formula 1 races, and Singapore would be one of the countries where the matches would be played.
UBS and Evercore have already been asked to help raise the money, which could come from wealthy individuals and institutional investors such as sovereign wealth funds.
Backers include Skype co-founder Geoff Prentice, former Facebook executive Grady Burnett, and investment firm SC Holdings, led by co-founders Jason Stein and Daniel Haimovic.
