a human washing machine to come out clean in 15 minutes

We won’t teach you anything if we tell you that Japan is a country with many neat freaks. And it is therefore not surprising to discover that a manufacturer of shower heads had the idea of designing this astonishing object: a washing machine for humans.

Instead of laundry, we put a human inside

Among the Japanese, cleanliness is sacred…at least, more than among us French. The idea is not new: in 1970, during the Osaka Universal Exhibition, a prototype of this object was presented without being marketed. But during the next edition which will take place from April 13 to October 13, 2025, this washing machine for humans is likely to get a lot of talk.

The concept comes from the Japanese company Science Co, which specializes in the manufacture of shower heads. The idea remains the same as a washing machine except that here, it is not laundry that is loaded inside but a human who must come out clean.

In 15 minutes, this machine makes you come out clean

This personal washer called the Mirai Ningen Sentakuki, which means “human washing machine of the future” presents itself under the shape of a bathtub with a lid on the top to close once the user is seated inside. Just to avoid splashing all over the bathroom. It is then enough to choose one of the programs proposed (unknown for the moment) so that water jets turn on so you don’t have to scrub. Of course, these jets are soft and do not have the power of a Kärcher! The wash lasts 15 minutes then after cleaning, it’s a small flow of warm air that comes to dry you. Then all that’s left to do is get out.

Note that the device has different sensors to monitor pulse and other biological data during the experiment. It is team ofartificial intelligence to determine the emotional state of the person or adapt the water temperature.

The manufacturer hopes seduce customers during the Universal Exhibition by offering 1000 people the opportunity to try its human washing machine. It remains to be seen whether the device will establish itself in our bathrooms. However, we can say that the idea is ingenious for helping elderly or disabled people to wash themselves. And you, what do you think of this concept? Would you be ready to try the experience? Tell us in the comments section.
