A lawyer from Iași filed a complaint with the Bucharest Court of Appeal demanding that Klaus Iohannis be removed from the position of head of state and that this position be declared vacant.

The complaint of the lawyer Gheorghe Gabriel Căcescu is also directed against the CCR, on the grounds that the decision of the CCR magistrates to cancel the presidential elections of 2024 allowed President Iohannis to remain in office even after the expiration of his second term, informs The reality on January 8, 2025.

The lawyer also requests the invalidation of Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, who was re-invested in this position on December 22, 2024, i.e. one day after the second term of President Iohannis expired. Lawyer Căcescu claims that all documents issued by the Ciolacu 2 Government are null and void.
