Antti Kaikkonen has released a loving update. Namely, it has just been five years since the anniversary. At that time, Antti and his spouse got engaged.

50-year-old Kaikkonen is happily married Jannika Rannan with.

Engaged in 2020, married in 2021

Kaikkonen got engaged in February 2020 and married in August 2021 to Jannika Ranna, a trade policy expert at the Swedish Confederation of Finnish Business and Economics, with a master’s degree in political science.

The couple’s first child was born in the summer of 2020, and her brother in the summer of 2022.

In August 2023, Kaikkonen moved from Tuusula to Sipoo. Before that, he spent months on a construction site with hammer and saw in hand.

Antti Kaikkonen is a Finnish Member of Parliament belonging to the Center parliamentary group and Minister of Defense of Finland in 2019–2023.

He has served as a Member of Parliament from the constituency of Uusimaa since 2003.

Speed ​​in politics

Antti Kaikkonen served as Finland’s Minister of Defense 2019-2023. After the ministerial term, in the 2023 parliamentary elections, Kaikkonen was elected to his sixth term from the Uusimaa constituency with 12,687 votes.

He works in parliament as a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee and as a deputy member of the Future Committee. In addition, he is the chairman of the advisory board of defense corporation Patria Oy.

The memoir, Towards the Alliance (Otava), written by Kaikkonen and Jari Korki, about Kaikkonen’s years as Minister of Defense was published in October 2023.

When Annika Saarikko announced in February 2024 that she would give up the chairmanship of the center at the summer party meeting, Kaikko was considered a possible candidate for chairman.

He said that he would “consider the matter calmly” and that he would make a decision during the spring of 2024.

In April 2024, Kaikkonen announced that he would run for chairman. According to him, the center is not a left-wing party, although the party can accommodate many different emphases.
