A manhunt has been launched for the man who stabbed several people

On Thursday, the Pécs District Court ordered the arrest for one month of the young man from Baranya who allegedly fatally stabbed his ex-partner and another man in Komló on Saturday, the court informed MTI.

In the announcement, it was written that the Baranya County Police Headquarters is investigating the 22-year-old man from Aranyosgadány for attempted murder and harassment.

The man allegedly got into an argument with his girlfriend in the bedroom of a house in Komló on Saturday afternoon; he stabbed the woman six times with a kitchen knife, then injured the man who was there. The stab wounds hit the woman’s arm, chest, shoulder blade, and one even reached her heart.

Both the woman and the man were fatally injured, they both underwent surgery to save their lives, and are currently in a life-threatening condition, they wrote.

On Monday, the suspect called his ex-girlfriend’s father on the phone, who threatened to stab the whole family in the same way he did the woman.

A manhunt was launched against the man and an arrest warrant was issued; he was finally arrested in Budapest before midnight on Monday.
