Niš hired influencers: One million dinars in four days

To promote the tourist offer of the city and the Nišville Jazz Festival, the Tourism Organization of Niš paid nine “influencers” to publish video materials, pictures and texts on their profiles on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube and paid them 660,000 dinars for these services.

With accommodation, meals and transportation to tourist destinations in Niš and its surroundings, the promotion cost TON and the citizens a little more than one million dinars for the four days they were in Niš.

Nine “influencers” and “travel bloggers” stayed in Nis from August 16 to 20, in order to promote the main program of the Nisville Jazz Festival and show their followers through their social networks what the atmosphere at the festival looks like, but also what the tourist offer of Nis is and what are the activities of the Tourist Organization of this city.

The Tourist Organization of Niš paid 660,000 dinars for these services.

For the purposes of promoting and announcing the Nišville Jazz Festival, the Niš tourist organization hired a legal entity to provide advertising services by advertising on social networks “travel bloggers” who are recognized on the tourist market as experienced and reliable researchers and presenters of destinations with more than 100,000 followers, but also ” travel bloggers” who have fewer followers, and who have achieved cooperation with the Tourism Organization of Serbia, tour operators and media in the country and abroad, according to TON.

TON also says that in this way they implemented activities to promote the tourist destination of the City of Niš, and that in this way they will motivate domestic and foreign tourists to visit the city.

Some of the “influencers” were chosen, say TON, because they are winners of the award of the Tourist Organization of Serbia as media that represent Serbia as a tourist destination, and also, among them, they say, was the winner of the “Travel Instagrammer” award for 2020 awarded by Vanabe magazine.

A four-day stay in Niš, accommodation, meals, excursions and transportation cost 401,290 dinars, fees 660,000 dinars, so everything cost the Tourism Organization of Niš 1,061,290 dinars.

The result of the “influencer’s” visit, as they point out from TON, had an exceptional effect on the tourist market, thus increasing the visibility of the Tourism Organization of Niš and on their social networks Visit_Nis.
