The Eastwards Prospectus Cultural Association, in partnership with the Marie Curie Hospital in Bucharest and Dăruiește Viață, announces the name of the artist selected to participate in the A Network of Care residency program between September and November. The artist’s name is: Diana Drăghici.
The artist was selected by a jury from Romania, following an open call held between August 6 and 27, 2024. More than 30 eligible applications were registered.
During the three-month residency, the selected artist will develop a participatory project that will actively involve patients, their families and medical staff. A Network of Care offers an honorarium of 10,000 lei gross to the artist to develop and implement the participatory project.
“We are delighted with the high number of applications to participate in the A Network of Care residency program. We were aware, since the launch of the project, that the invitation addressed to Romanian artists, through the open call, was not an easy one to approach. Creating art projects dedicated to hospitalized children involves a deep level of emotional commitment. We congratulate the selected artist and wish her success! We will be with him to implement the participatory project proposal outlined in his application.”, Andrei BreahnaPresident of the Eastwards Prospectus Cultural Association.
In addition to the residency program, A Network of Care also implements the following other activities in the Marie Curie Hospital in Bucharest:
- Projections of films and video art
- Creation of a coloring book in collaboration with ten artists from Romania
- Cultural workshops

Established for over seven years, Eastwards Prospectus Cultural Association (ACEP)promotes, through cultural or educational projects, contemporary art at national and international level. Through the ACCELERATOR series of programs, ACEP supports emerging artists in the path and development of their careers by offering them learning opportunities inspired by local and foreign approaches and practices. Also, ACEP has proposed to intensify the training and development projects of audiences through actions organized in Bucharest and in the country, online and offline, in which the public understands, finds itself and connects with contemporary art.
ACEP attracted funding for artwork production; organized more than 30 offline and online exhibitions; coordinated an urban intervention by the artist Tania Mouraud, carried out simultaneously in 9 cities; supported the participation of artists in international art fairs and developed projects for children and company employees interested in contemporary art. Thus, through the programs implemented by ACEP, art contributes to individual and collective development – doing what it has always done – it catalyzed the evolution of society.
