The two Japanese manufacturers Suzuki and Toyota have announced the arrival of a new 100% electric SUV, which will be produced from spring 2025 in India.

A new 100% electric SUV in 2025

In practice, the BEV unit and platform adopted for this model were jointly developed by Suzuki, Toyota and Daihatsu Motor Corporation. The two Japanese companies have not revealed detailed information on their future new electric model, but have announced that it will only be offered with 100% electric engines. According to their joint press release, this future SUV will be “agile, with the dynamic behavior characteristic of a BEV, offers great autonomy and a comfortable interior”. Last year, Suzuki unveiled a 100% electric urban SUV concept car: the Suzuki eVX, based on a new platform dedicated to electric cars, and equipped with all-wheel drive.
