While the technical inspection of motorcycles remains highly contested, a new action will take place on September 21 and 22.
In place since April 15, the technical inspection for two-wheelers continues to be talked about.
Action against motorcycle technical inspection
Indeed, biker associations, led by the French Federation of Angry Bikers (FFMC), have redoubled their efforts to denounce this new regulation that they consider useless and unjustified. And one thing is certain, they have not said their last word. And for good reason, a new major national mobilization is announced for September 21 and 22. And this will once again extend to the entire territory. And the FFMC invites you to take part if you are concerned. On its website, the organization indicates that “ To participate in the demonstration or help organize this weekend against the CT and for the ‘moto-solution’ on September 21-22, do not hesitate to contact your departmental branch ” But what are the real bikers’ demands and other two-wheeler owners opposed to this technical inspection which continues to create controversy? We explain everything to you in our article below!
The “moto-solution”, perhaps?
For the protesters, technical inspection is not the solution to the environmental and safety issues raised by its defenders. On the contrary, they believe that it will only add an additional constraint, without providing any real benefit. But that’s not all, because the bikers’ discourse is not limited to pure and simple opposition to this measure. Indeed, they are also seeking to raise awareness of what they call the “moto-solution“, an ecological and practical alternative in an increasingly restricted mobility context. For them, motorized two-wheelers must be seen as a relevant response to traffic problems, particularly in large cities. In a context where cities are setting up lanes reserved for public transport and carpooling, motorcyclists consider that motorized two-wheelers are an effective and space-saving solution. Not to mention the practicality thanks to inter-file traffic.
But for the time being, the government continues to turn a deaf ear to technical inspections…
