A new electric bus was shown in St. Petersburg

It will be tested on route No. 128 for two months.

In St. Petersburg, they began test operation of the Asiastar X9-CITY EV STAR large-class electric bus. St. Petersburg officials were the first to ride in the new city transport.

As reported by the press service of the St. Petersburg Transport Committee, testing will last two months, but its duration may be extended. The electric bus will run on route No. 128 “Uralskaya Street – Aptekarskaya Embankment”.

The department said that Asiastar X9-CITY EV STAR has a power reserve of up to 350 km, a spacious interior with a low floor. For the convenience of passengers, the electric bus is equipped with multimedia information systems, USB connectors for charging mobile devices, and there are special seats for people with limited mobility, as well as for wheelchairs and strollers. In total, the new electric bus can accommodate up to 83 passengers.

The Transport Committee noted that during the testing period, the electric bus will be evaluated by drivers, specialists from the State Unitary Enterprise Passazhiravtotrans and the passengers themselves.

Earlier it became known that St. Petersburg residents will be transferred to water buses in six years.

Let us remind you that in the first half of 2024, 37 new trolleybuses, 53 tram cars and 29 electric buses arrived in St. Petersburg.
