A picture from the development of GTA 6 was leaked. It caused quite a stir among fans

This year will be marked by Grand Theft Auto 6, the most anticipated game of the last decade. Studio Rockstar, which is working hard on it, is unfortunately very stingy with any information and users are understandably hungry for it. Now, an alleged image from the development of the game has leaked onto the Internet, but it raises more and more questions.

GTA 6 under the guise of secrecy

It’s been over a year since the first GTA 6 trailer was officially released, and unfortunately, we haven’t learned much about the game since then. We know practically everything only from that trailer, and fans who are hungry for any new information are literally hunting the developers. Because of them, some of them, for example, stand in front of the headquarters of the Rockstar studio to catch a glimpse of anything related to the game through the windows.

Unfortunately, developers are very greedy for practically anything and every new piece of information, every screenshot and every speculation causes a wave of interest. An image of a monitor with alleged footage from the game appeared on the X social network (via Inteligentnisvet.cz), on which there is a female character, probably Lucia, who we will play as in GTA 6. But this picture raised quite a few questions.

GTA 6 in early stages of development?

The monitor that GTA 6 is said to be on is believed to be from Rockstar’s offices, and it’s very possible that the character is indeed Lucia and that we’re looking at footage from the game. Next to the monitor, however, there is a very interesting accessory in the form of a PlayStation 5 dev kit, which is a developer version of the PS5 console, and this does not add much credibility.

This kit is from 2019-2020, and most studios had it available to develop games for the then-unlaunched PlayStation 5. Which is definitely misleading, since the PS5 has been on the market for four years, currently selling a Pro version and something like a dev kit is definitely not needed. The believability of the image is also eroded a little by the controller in the dev kit, which obviously comes from the PlayStation 4.

The second trailer could be around the corner

Rockstar studio keeps fans in suspense with the second trailer for the game. So far, only the first announcement trailer has been released, and it’s been over a year, so another preview is definitely on the way. For GTA 5, the second trailer was released some 10 months before the release, so if the release of GTA 6 in the fall of this year is still valid, the time for the release of the second trailer would be near.

One possibility is that this is a very early stage of development, as work on GTA 6 has been going on for a long time, and it is possible that Rockstar studio was already working on the game when the PlayStation 5 was just about to go on sale. That would explain that dev kit.
