Lemon, mint for a natural and refreshing lemonade
The lemon, this citrus fruit with multiple virtues that the French love. A concentrate of sunshine, tangy and vitamin-rich, it is your body’s best friend. Detoxifying for the liver, a great ally for your diet and it would protect against cancer thanks to its high vitamin content. For this recipe, choose exclusively organic yellow lemons.

Like lemon, Mint is acclaimed for its virtues. Concentrated in iron and vitamin C, it is an antioxidant. Its consumption helps to protect our body against free radicals. Use spearmint, as it is milder and more refreshing than peppermint. You will recognize it by its almost round leaves of a shiny gray-green and above all it smells divine.
How to make fresh mint lemonade
For 1 liter of sparkling water:
- 4 organic lemons
- A handful of organic spearmint leaves
- Optional: 1 tablespoon of cane sugar or honey
- Ice cubes
In a large carafe, add the juice of 3 lemons, the mint leaves, the last lemon cut into slices as well as the sugar or honey if you want a very sweet lemonade.
Pour in the sparkling water, stir and serve. Enjoy with ice cubes!
Chilled Mint Lemonade
For periods of extreme heat, here is a even more refreshing versiona real frozen treat. To make this recipe, the ingredients are the same.
In the blender bowl, combine the lemon juice, water, mint and sugar (or honey). Blend until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Add the ice. Blend on low speed to break up the ice, then increase to high and blend until smooth.
Pour into glasses and place a sprig of mint in each. Serve immediately.
Fresh Mint and Cucumber Lemonade
Here is a recipe for fresh mint lemonade, a little different from the classic version, with a touch of originality:
For 1 liter of sparkling water:
- 4 organic lemons
- 1 lemon green bio
- 1 liter of sparkling water
- 150 g of cane sugar
- 1 bunch of fresh mint
- 1 medium cucumber
- 1 piece of fresh ginger (about 5 cm)
- 1 handful of ice cubes
- A few basil leaves (optional)
Preparation
Start by thoroughly washing the lemons, lime, cucumber, and mint leaves. Squeeze the lemons and lime to extract the juice, then set aside. Peel the cucumber and cut it into thin slices. Peel the ginger and finely grate it. In a large bowl, mix the cane sugar with the juice of the lemons and lime until the sugar is completely dissolved. Add the cucumber slices, grated ginger, and half of the roughly torn mint leaves. Pour the sparkling water into the mixture and stir gently to incorporate all the ingredients. Add a handful of ice cubes to chill the drink. Finally, pour the lemonade into a carafe, straining if necessary, then add the remaining mint leaves and a few basil leaves for an extra touch of freshness.
Serve immediately and enjoy this original and thirst-quenching lemonade.
