A random passer-by found a newborn girl abandoned under a tree in Brno-Řečkovice on Wednesday evening. She was fine, paramedics took her to the hospital after checking. Police are asking people who were in the area to contact them. Police also want to speak to the child’s mother. On website spokesperson Pavel Šváb informed the police about this today.
The police officers went to Žitná Street in Brno on Wednesday evening when a passer-by found the child. “Together with his girlfriend, they wrapped the child in a blanket from the car, carried it to the apartment and called the paramedics. They took the newborn girl, who was fortunately fine, to the hospital after checking,” Šváb described.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who was at the scene between 7pm and 10pm. And also with the mother, whose health may be at risk without medical treatment. The police will receive information on the emergency line 158.
