Stop and imagine: you have one Lamborghini Huracan STO for a day, what would you do with it?
I have no doubts about the menu: breakfast with 100 octane, Imola Autodrome and maximum sharing given that a car like this is even more beautiful if you are not alone having fun in the car. Even better if you do it with someone who, perhaps, can really appreciate it.
Beyond “the limit”
The “limit”, how many times have we sought it, overcome it, feared it, when talking about automotive performance, perhaps on the circuit. Here, for once let’s try not to think about ourselves, and consider the possibility that these limits concern everyday life in people who, often – believe me – are happier than us, but continually struggle to be so.
“Autodrome without barriers” is an initiative born in 2021 to offer a day of high-octane emotions and smiles to those who usually don’t frequent the circuits as much as they would like… People with disabilities and their companions will be able to access the event for free and ride in the cars made available by the enthusiasts who, between 9am and 1pm on Sunday 1 December 2024 they will be at their disposal on the Enzo and Dino Ferrari circuit in Imola.
Why the STO?
Simple, because I love it and, on a day like this, you might as well be able to excite in every sense: the sight (because it’s beautiful), the stomach (your stomach at Acque Minerali or Rivazza will be felt) and the hearing (V10, forever).
To be honest, even the Sterrato would have been superb so as to be able to climb the curbs without too many “pleases”, but I believe that a lap on the Huracan STO in Imola could leave an even bigger mark.
So, THANK YOU Lamborghini.
The pace will be imposed by the organizers, the weather, the traffic… but certainly, the exclamations of amazement (Or happiness? Or terror?) will not be few. It’s not a racebut the adrenaline will not be lacking!
So, going back to the beginning, if you ask me: “Andrea, what would you do with an STO for an entire Sunday?”. Exactly what I’ll do Sunday 1st December a Imola.
Unbeatable Motor Valley
Organized by the Municipality of Imola and Formula Imola, in collaboration ODV Clay Regazzoni, Montecatone Foundation, Casa Guglielmi with the active support of Imola Faenza Tourism Company and Turbosport Imola, this initiative aims not only to offer a unique experience, but also to raise funds to support partner foundations.
Marco Panieri (Mayor of Imola) ed Elena Penazzi (Autodromo Councilor): “One of the events to which we are most attached is back, which this year will take place close to the International Day of People with Disabilities, scheduled for December 3rd. We thank all the car owners who make themselves available for the track laps, the Turbosport group as well as all the local volunteer associations who give visibility to the event and who bring many kids to experience this beautiful emotion of the track for their collaboration.
A special thank you goes to ODV Clay Regazzoni who, with his volunteers, dedicates this day to raising funds for two Imola-based entities: Fondazione Montecatone and Casa Guglielmi”.
