A case has been opened in St. Petersburg against a city resident who registered 20 migrants in a communal apartment. This was reported by the press service of the city prosecutor’s office.

According to the investigation, the 35-year-old St. Petersburg resident registered visitors in two rooms of a communal apartment with an area of ​​less than 25 square meters between December 2023 and May 2024. All persons were registered in an apartment in a building on Chapaeva Street in the Petrogradsky District. The foreigners did not live there, but were simply listed there.

The Petersburger himself lived in the rooms with his mother and brother. The relatives said they knew nothing about the registered migrants.

Now the owner of the property will be punished for fictitious registration of foreigners.
