A court in St. Petersburg has ordered the recovery of 450 thousand rubles in favor of the mother of a five-year-old girl who sustained a leg injury on a playground.
According to the press service of the St. Petersburg prosecutor’s office, the preschool educational institution will pay compensation for moral damage to the woman.
It all happened on July 24, 2023, at a playground on Serpukhovskaya Street. It was established that the girl fell with her right foot into the gap between the platforms of the play structure. As a result of the incident, the child received a closed fracture of the femur. The injury was assessed as serious harm to health caused to the child, the prosecutor’s office indicated.
The supervisory authority conducted an investigation into the incident and filed a lawsuit on behalf of the mother and child. The court granted the claim and ordered the victim’s family to pay 450,000 rubles to cover medical expenses, rehabilitation, and compensation for moral damages.
