The stock markets started the week with a positive boost, and the rise continues today. In Asia, we saw a definite strengthening of the stock markets after Beijing announced a series of economic policy easing measures at the briefing of the central bank governor Pan Gongsheng. As far as the European stock markets are concerned, the good international mood persists here as well, and the Hungarian stock market is also rising. At home today, the MNB’s interest rate decision was the most important event, at which the central bank lowered the interest rate by 25 basis points, as expected. US stocks took a hit shortly after the open after disappointing consumer confidence data, but later corrected.
