An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale hit Antofagasta, a port in the north of Chile, today, the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) announced.
The epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 111 kilometers, EMSC said.
As reported by Tanjug, for now there is no information about possible victims or material damage.
