A motorcycle rider named Naemul Islam (24) was killed after being hit by a reckless truck in Mirsrai. He is a second year degree student of Nizampur Government College of that upazila.
The accident took place on Thursday (January 9) at around 4:30 pm on the Chittagong-bound lane in BSRM area of Dhaka-Chittagong highway. A pedestrian named Azizul Haque (56) was seriously injured in this incident. He was sent to Chittagong Medical College (CHMEC) hospital with first aid.
The deceased is the younger son of Tofazzel Hossain of Darul Bux Bhuiyan village of Chinkir Hat area of Naemul Islam Upazila.
According to the eyewitnesses, one person died on the spot when an unidentified truck hit a motorcycle rider in the BSRM area of the highway. Another person was seriously injured while on the road. Later, the locals rescued him and took him to the Upazila Health Complex, where the doctors declared one person dead. Treated others.
In this regard, the medical officer of Upazila Health Complex Doctor Fahima said that a person is being brought to the hospital in a dead condition due to a motorcycle accident. Another person named Aziz was given first aid and sent to Chittagong Medical College (CHMEC) Hospital.
Zorarganj Highway Police Station (OC) Sarkar Abdullah Al Mamun said that the police team went to the spot after hearing the news of the accident. After the legal process, the dead body will be handed over to the family. Efforts are underway to recover the unidentified truck.
