More and more game soundtracks are being released, and with many publishers are really trying, so in the package you can find a record with a unique design, art on the cover by some important artist, and so on. we have selected a few soundtracks that could be interesting under the tree:
Doom
Australian composer Mick Gordon really pulled it off in Doom soundtracks. The soundtrack is composed primarily of digitally synthesized progressive metal, which is largely processed with analog effects, while variously crossing into the subgenres of post-industrial, dark synth-rock, glitch music and djent. This version also includes red plates.
Dota 2

Silent Hill 3
The music for this legendary horror series is handled by the well-known Japanese composer Akira Yamaoka, and he was often able to send shivers down his spine. His music is a mix of gorgeous and truly terrifying melodies mixed with brilliant, layered guitar rock and trip-hop. The dichotomy of tones and genres is part of the charm of this surrealist series.
The Last of Us Part II
The soundtrack to The Last of Us series has become as iconic as the games themselves. The Argentinian composer Gustavo Santaolalla took care of it. On two records, you will find a total of 28 well-known songs that you could hear throughout the two, whether they were building tension, overwhelming you with emotion or highlighting the action.
Creaks

You explored a strange world full of dangers, traps and enemies that were after you. The game music also corresponded to all this.

God of War Ragnarok

Demon’s Souls (remake)
Many recognized the experienced Japanese studio only with the game Demon’s Souls, but since then they have become devoted fans. The game scored on many fronts and also appealed with the music. Composer Shunsuke Kida took care of it not only in the original, but also in the remake, which saw the release of a beautiful edition of the soundtrack on two LPs. Kida delivers a bold and brilliant soundtrack that fits the game’s story and triumphantly builds on the composer’s work on the original Demon’s Souls game.
Samorost 3
Music in games by Amanita is always an experience in itself. especially when the old musician Tomáš Dvořák, aka Floex, takes care of her. Gramophones
Considering a record player? We can advise you with that too.
Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB
We can recommend it as a basic model for entering the hi-fi category Pro-Ject T1 Phono SBwhich also offers an integrated preamplifier. However, the construction of the strap and cassette attachment is much simpler, so the possibilities for future upgrades are limited. However, as an economical option, it will still offer better performance than the base automatic models.
Lenco LBT-335BA
In theory, you can go with the price a bit lower. A record player can do it Lenco LBT-335BAwhich will please the fans of ecology. Its base is made of bamboo. Mechanically, it’s not as good as Pro-Ject’s T-1 turntable, but the Ortofon 2M RED offers a slightly better portable. In addition, you will also find the option of Bluetooth connection here.
Pro-Ject A1
But if you insist on a lazy solution, there’s an automatic record player Pro-Ject A1who puts the needle on the record for you and picks it up after the playback is over. The A1 model has an 8.3″ ultralight aluminum arm. Together with the Ortofon OM10 earphone, which perfectly fits this design principle, it offers an exceptionally fast response and fine details, including surprising micro-dynamics.
Pro-Ject Debut S Phono HG
An interesting tip for reproducing soundtracks on vinyl records is the new record player Pro-Ject Debut S Phono HG Czech production. The manufacturer fitted it rather unconventionally with a Japanese Sumiko Rainier insert, which brings an excellently detailed and rich sound, which until recently was reserved for more expensive devices. In addition, the curvature of the arm ensures more precise guidance of the needle through the groove, and thanks to the built-in gramophone preamplifier, any active speakers or amplifier can be easily connected. It enables precise mechanics of all parts, which contributes to the quality of performance and longevity.
I have this model myself and it sounds great with active speakers AQ Labrador 39 Fortewhich are suitable not only for music, but also for movies and games. We currently have them in the editorial office for testing and the review will come in the following weeks.
