Looking at a car like the Denza Z9 GT It seems like a long time ago now that Chinese manufacturers limited themselves to copying or reproducing European models (bordering on plagiarism) for the domestic market or little more.
Today an important group like BYD can afford the “luxury” of producing in China and selling soon also in Europe a luxury station wagon (precisely) that challenges the Porsche Panamera and the Porsche Taycan in one fell swoop with the choice between plug-in hybrid and electric engines 965 CV.
The Denza Z9 GT, already on sale in China at a base price equivalent to just over 42.500 eurowill in fact be one of the first models of Denza, BYD’s luxury brand, to arrive on the European market.
Long tail sedan
The new car from the BYD group is presented as a 5-door sedan with a long tail, halfway between a station wagon and a more streamlined shooting brake. The measurements are important because at a length of 5.19 meters echo a width of 1.99 metres and a height of 1.48 metres.

The wheelbase of 3.12 meters also contributes to making it even more imposing than the Panamera itself. The rounded and modern style is the work of former Audi and Alfa Romeo designer Wolfgang Egger and shows some typical details of the latest Chinese sedans such as the elongated headlights, the retractable handles and the optional mirrors with camera.

Five screens and two refrigerators
The interior of the Denza Z9 GT stands out for the possibility of having well five screens on the dashboard: one for the digital instrumentation, a larger one for the central infotainment, a third for the front passenger and two further screens on the door panels that display images from the optional cameras in place of the rear-view mirrors.

The front passenger seat also has a zero-gravity mode with leg rest, while one of the most surprising features is the double refrigerator on board. The front one between the seats has a capacity of 4 litres and the rear one 10 litres.
