No, it’s not a forgotten April Fool’s article. Czech Post and DPD announced a partnershipwithin which you will be able to have a DPD carrier send a package to a branch of the Czech Post. Initially, this option will be available at 56 post offices, and by the end of the year at more than 850 branches.

The cooperation testing will last approximately until half of next yearin case of successful cooperation, it will be extended to the entire Czech Post network, i.e. to 2,900 branches. With this step, Czech Post continues to expand its open infrastructure.

“There are 2,900 branches available for our clients throughout the Czech Republic. Due to the declining interest in traditional postal services, we are ready to offer our free capacities to other companies or state institutions. The branch network in which we have integrated DPD is another option where customers of our new business partner can collect their parcels. Especially in the run-up to Christmas, which is the peak of the season for any logistics company, every additional delivery point is welcome.” says Martina Ivanová, director of the Czech Post branch network.
