A taxi driver crashed into a street light pole in Bratislava on Monday morning. The police measured his blood alcohol level at 1.85 per thousand.

He faces a charge of criminal endangerment under the influence of an addictive substance. Regional police spokesman Michal Szeiff informed TASR about this.

“The traffic accident occurred at the intersection of Dunajská/29 streets. Augusta/Mlynské Nivy,” explained the spokesperson. According to him, upon arriving at the scene, the police found out that 23-year-old Alem T., a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan, did not adapt his driving to his abilities while driving around a curve and crashed his vehicle into a street light pole.
