The Tesla Science Foundation (TNF), with its main branches in the United States of America (USA) and Serbia, is organizing the “Nikola Tesla Days” conference for the first time in Chicago from September 13 to 15 – at several locations in this most numerous Serbian city in the diaspora .
As stated, this year TNF celebrates 20 years of existence and dedicated work to promote the character and work of Nikola Tesla, during which a large number of annual conferences were held in New York and Belgrade, exhibitions – from the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia to cities in Serbia and Republika Srpska, more than 35 busts of Nikola Tesla were installed, the last of which was realized before this year’s Vidovdan in Gračanica in Kosovo and Metohija, and numerous meetings of enthusiasts of Tesla’s work organized through the network of “Nikola Tesla” clubs.
On Friday, September 13, an exhibition of paintings dedicated to one of the greatest Serbian and world scientists will be opened, and in the next three days, those interested will be able to see the works of painters Ivana Milijev, Biljana Glogovac, Gordana Milivojčević and Kristina Stanek, as well as the presentation of the work of the Tesla Museum, which Dr. Milena Tatić Bajić and Nikola Lončar will speak.
The main program of the three-day event is the next day, in the hall of the Cathedral on Redwood Drive in Chicago, which will be opened by Nikola Lončar, president and Nada Martinović, vice-president of TNF. On that occasion, the current works of prominent Serbian scientists and engineers, as well as other individuals from Matica, will be presented. and diasporas who are engaged in nurturing Serbian culture and our identity.
The third day of the event in Chicago is reserved for the “Meeting of the Tesla People” where prominent members of the Serbian community will discuss ways of cooperation and networking of Serbian organizations from Matica and dispersion.
