A tow truck hit a woman and a child and rammed a bus stop in St. Petersburg

Three people were injured.

In St. Petersburg, a tow truck crashed into a public transport stop and ran over two pedestrians.

The accident occurred on the afternoon of Tuesday, January 7, on Piskarevsky Prospekt, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of St. Petersburg reported. As a result of the accident, the tow truck driver was trapped in the vehicle’s cab. Rescuers from the special unit came to his aid. A. P. Kudryashova. Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations unblocked the culprit of the accident and handed over the ambulance to the doctors.

A woman and a two-year-old child were also injured. All three were hospitalized, the Ministry of Emergency Situations added.

The causes of the accident with the tow truck are currently being established. The prosecutor’s office of the Krasnogvardeisky district of St. Petersburg took control of the progress and results of the investigation carried out by law enforcement agencies on this fact.

Earlier it was reported that a 15-year-old schoolgirl was hit on the University Embankment in St. Petersburg.
