“A Trump victory would be four more years of shit”

“Four more years of shit.” This is how the actor and former Republican governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger has decided the possibility of a new victory for Donald Trump this coming November 5. Indeed, Shwarzenneger announced this Wednesday on his social networks that he will vote for the Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, although he confesses that he “really” does not support the vice president and that he hates “politics”, in addition to not trusting “the majority.” of politicians.”

“I will always be an American rather than a Republican,” he wrote: “That is why, this week, I am going to vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. I share it with all of you because I think there are many who feel like me. You do not recognize our country. And you are right to be angry.”

Schwarzenegger said in his statement that he was disappointed in everyone who has been in power in the US in recent decades, who has talked about addressing the debt and the “immigration system”, but has failed to do so. According to the actor, politicians prefer to “have talking points” for elections instead of performing “public service that improves the lives of Americans.”

“We should be pissed,” Schwarzenegger says, referring to Trump without quoting him: “But there is a candidate who will not respect your vote unless it is for him, a candidate who will send his followers to storm the Capitol while he watches with a Coke. Diet Cola, a candidate who has shown no ability to work to pass any policy other than a tax cut that helped his donors and other rich people like me, but helped no one else, a candidate who thinks Americans who “They don’t agree with him, they are bigger enemies than China, Russia or North Korea… That won’t solve our problems.”

Schwarzenegger has long been critical of the former president and current Republican candidate. After the January 6 attack on the Capitol, Schwarzenegger compared that episode to Kristallnacht in Nazi Germany, and called Trump a “failed leader who will go down in history as the worst president in history.” .

The actor has referred to the aftermath of the 2020 elections, and has said that “rejecting the results of an election is the most un-American thing there can be. For someone like me, who talks to people all over the world and still knows that America is the shining city on a hill, calling America (a) garbage can for the world is so unpatriotic that it makes me furious.”

If Trump were re-elected, he said, “it will be four more years of shit without results that will pit us against each other more and more, divide us and make us hate more. We have to close the door on this chapter in American history, and I know former President Trump won’t do it. “I want to move forward as a country, and although I have many disagreements with his candidacy, I think the only way to do it is with Harris and Walz.”
