The police were assigned to a private apartment in Espoo last week. The neighbor had heard crashes and cries for help and called the emergency center.
When the police arrived, they found a woman living in the apartment and a neighbor there. According to the information provided by the woman, the woman’s partner, who lives with her, had knocked the woman to the ground during the argument, held his hand in front of her mouth and kicked her. The woman had finally fled to a neighbor.
The police found the man nearby and he was taken to the police station. The patrol searched the apartment. At the scene, the patrol told the person concerned about organizations that help in intimate partner violence situations, such as the Crime Victims Emergency Service. The course of events of the situation is being investigated and the police are currently investigating the incident as, among other things, assault.
