On the evening of Tuesday, January 7, in the Frunzensky district of St. Petersburg, 15 firefighters fought a fire in a nine-story residential building. The fire was extinguished, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Northern capital reported.
A woman was injured in the fire. She needed the help of medical workers. The victim had to be hospitalized.
Firefighters brought the fire under control in less than 30 minutes.
Earlier, two people died in a fire in the Frunzensky district of St. Petersburg. Three more people, a man and two women, were hospitalized.
Five units of equipment and 21 personnel were involved in extinguishing the fire, the Ministry of Emergency Situations added.
